RICHARD NASH- DELTA STATE- CB: TWITTER @R_Nash9

Richard Nash a cornerback of Delta State University stands at 5 feet 9 inches tall and ran 4.52 the last 40 time he ran. Coaches have looked at his frame and said Nash was to small as a player and lacks top speed. Yet every time Nash steps out on the field, good things has happen. To me it has always been the heart of a player. We can judge a man and player from the outside, but it is within if they can overcome the obstacles they face. Here is my interview with Richard Nash who is certain to beat every obstacle he has faced along his way.

Richard%20Nash

What year were you born? January 17, 1992
Where were you born? Macon Georgia
When did you start playing football? Started playing in six grade
What does football mean to you? Football is my get away. It means the most to me because I know what it feels like to have it taken away.
Were you a starter or backup player? I started at wing back and corner
What was your biggest accomplishment at Westside HS? 9th grade Future Seminole Award recipient for baseball, 9th grade Future Seminole for football, voted best DB as a senior by coaches and teammates, named honorable mentioned as a junior, All City/All region First Team as a senior.
Why did you decide to play for Delta State University? Delta State wanted me for who I am. That I am a undersized guy with talent. Other schools were skeptical about me but Delta State showed no signs of that. I feel like God brought me here for a reason. It is all in his plans. I prayed about my decision on whether or not to return to my juco after graduating but he directed my path to Delta State.

unnamed1

How have you been staying fit this offseason? I spent the entire summer training in Cleveland with the team. Every morning we got up at 5am and attacked workouts.
Who are you excited to play this year? West Georgia and North Alabama. West Georgia due to their lack of class from last year’s victory against us and North Alabama because that is our rival.
What has been your biggest accomplishment as an athlete? Being named an All-American from 6 games I started before being sidelined due to an ankle injury. It really showed me people recognized my efforts and play making ability. Very fortunate to receive that honor and represent my team.
What keeps you motivated? My niece and that the fact that so many colleges passed on me from high school through my junior college days. It placed a huge chip on my shoulder.
What would you say is your biggest strengths on the field? Recognizing plays before they develop. Sure tackling, aggressiveness, and confidence to make every play.
Can you provide any struggles you have faced in your life? Sitting out a year from football because Middle Tenn State dropped me the last minute. I had to take the long route to get here from working a job I didn’t like to save money to go to my junior college. It was hard but it keeps me humble to this day.
Will you enter the 2015 NFL draft? No. I’m finishing up my degree and plan on playing my last season here at Delta State. I owe my coaches and teammates that.

unnamed
Any last words you like to give? Nobody can stop what God has planned for anybody in this world. Even impossible spells POSSIBLE.

Thank you
Joseph Muia

2015 SUPERBOWL PREDICTION

9c934d0a613381044a0f6a7067008128

This is my fifth year making a prediction of two teams reaching the Superbowl before preseason even starts. When I started in 2011 I wrote an email to co-workers at my full time job who would make it to the final game and why. Never would I guess it would come true of one team reaching it and the other team losing in the AFC Championship game. It would continue since then, and has been successful every year since. So now with no fear in my heart I am going to give you the 2015 NFL season prediction. You can see last year’s prediction on the link below. Denver was a very easy guess people would say, but remember it is before the preseason and Denver had some questions before camp started.

GET TO KNOW- COLLEGE FOOTBALL SERIES INTERVIEWS

I’ve been doing an internship with NFL DRAFT DIAMONDS. The owner Damond Talbot is a scout and consultant for East and West shrine game. Some NFL players will make it known that Talbot has helped them make their way into the National Football League.

I decided that not all football players are truly known. As well the bigger schools are known by their names because of the media attention, but not the smaller schools. With that said, I thought it be cool to reach out to smaller schools and selected a player to interview. The series is called “GET TO KNOW”.

Here are some that I have done so far! When you get a chance please view http://www.nfldraftdiamonds.com and be part of the best NFL draft news and learn more about small college diamond players.

STEELERS NATION, PLEASE SHARE WITH ALL STEELERS FANS- PAST AND CURRENT PLAYERS INTERVIEWS.

Steelers Nation, I hope you will listen and share these wonderful interviews conducted by Rudy Reyes Pittsburgh 970 ESPN. Reyes does this for free and so does the players. You will hear ex-Steelers and current players talk about their passion for the game and their ups and downs. All stories by the players are different and so are the interviews.

You will learn things from these interviews that you can’t hear anywhere else. Reporters are always in the lockers rooms and they ask about injuries and ask about the player role. Yet, these interviews give you so much more. Most of them are past players and the players give you insights from their child days at high school, college, and pros. They will make you smile, laugh, and most of all feel the passion of being their fan when they played. For the current players like Kelvin Beachum, Ramon Foster, Will Allen, Nick Williams, and Arthur Moats you pray for them to win the Superbowl.

Steelers 53 man roster/ LOCKED IN!

There are so many questions left to answer regarding the Pittsburgh Steelers upcoming season. Who will start and who will be on the bench? Before that question can be answered though, there is another one that is more talked about. Who will be on the 53 man roster, and who will be the eight guys on the practice squad? I feel I can give you that answer today. Am I going to be 100 percent right when talking about why players should be on the team, and why they should be removed? Of course I am, because I am “THE TRUTH”! Ok, not really but what the hell, let’s see how bad I truly do.

Mike Tomlin

Below will be the number next to the player to show the countdown of 1-53. As well, below that will be 1-8 of the practice squad members. The names will also appear how I believe the depth chart will come out. So it is a breakdown of two things.

4. David Snow C/G
5. Hebron Fangupo DT
6. Jordan Zumwalt OLB
7. Brice McCain CB
8. Wesley Johnson G

Special notes on players below:

Dri Archer- The fastest man in the NFL, however how many carries will he get? As well if he is so dangerous on kickoffs, teams will just kick it out of the end zone. Be very interesting to see how the Steelers use this fast cheetah.

Will Johnson- The question regarding Johnson is this, will the Steelers finally use him the way they should? Johnson not only a good fullback but can catch the pass. Yet, Steelers never try to use Johnson’s hands or pass blocking the way they should.

Darrius Heyward-Bey- The guy drops more balls than any lottery ball machines in one week. If I was the Steelers, I would just tell Heyward-Bey to RUN DEEP. This would open the underneath.

David Paulson- Only one good play I remember last year, it was a fake punt and Paulson caught it for like a 33 yard gain. It took a fake to be notice. NOT GOOD!

Brett Keisel- Not signed by the Steelers so why mentioned Keisel? Well I think Steelers might be forced to still sign him. Looking at the depth… it is not that deep. If so, look for Keisel to start in week one.

Stephon Tuitt- Can Tuitt truly start? Yes indeed and the reason he wouldn’t be able to do so, is because he was too lazy to win the job. At Norte Dame he was known to give up on plays. I hope that don’t continue in Pittsburgh. If it doesn’t continue, I hope we see the next Justin Tuck.

Nick Williams- Said to Rudy Reyes on 970 ESPN he has a ways to go yet to recover from his leg injury. I give it until week three before we are talking about Williams truly being back to 100%.

Chris Carter- Would of been cut but lack of depth at Outside Linebacker keeps him for one more year.

Terence Garvin- Only saved him from getting cut last year was special team. Can it save him this year? I say no! Reason is because of Arthur Moats, Antwon Blake, and Shamarko Thomas getting the job done where we don’t have to keep Garvin.

Sean Spence- Was not able to lean back on his heel of his foot but now able to run. Miracles do come true! I hope we can to see Spence play this year.

Greg Warren- AKA Grandpa

Again folks this is only a prediction of my opinions. Nothing I heard from insiders or players. Just me being who I am. So you can take it to heart or take it as a grain of salt.

God Bless,
Joseph Muia
