NFL DRAFT PROSPECT INTERVIEWS

Every year I have watched the NFL Draft, but never knew a player other than their name on the back of their jersey. This year though things have been different. I have learn who some of the NFL prospects are, and have been in contact with them daily. I can see the struggles that some have faced and wanting to give up on their dreams of playing in the Nation football league. I have learned their hard work of going to college and being a parent or taking care of their younger siblings. The sacrifices that the player’s family and friends have made so they can be in the spot light on draft day are truly amazing. They all seem to have that one person or more that said to them, they can’t do it and never be good enough. However, they have shown that they could! Now it is close to draft day and they will hear their name called. They will get a phone call from a head coach, and hear what team believed in them the most. So with that said, get to know those players before that day.

Here is 970 ESPN interview with Rudy Reyes and their interviews with NFL Draft Diamonds. Be sure to share with the fans around the world.

MY PICKS- ROUND ONE 2014 NFL DRAFT

nfldraft-672x372

Well, it is done! I did the Mock draft for the first round. All this time I was saying the Steelers should draft weak inside Linebacker CJ Mosley, while a lot of fans were screaming for Mike Evans and Darqueze Dennard. Yet looking into teams needs and wants, I have realize that teams will be drafting all three of those players before Steelers get their pick. We are talking about true talent for those three guys that are able to start right now in the NFL. Breaking down to who the Steelers have left on the draft board that was available to them, I pretended to be Kevin Colbert and Mike Tomlin. The Steelers addressed some of their wideout issues by signing free agents Lance Moore and Darrius Heyward-Bey. Yet, on the cornerback side Steelers picked up Brice McCain who is more a special team standout than a star cornerback. So the Steelers need to see who falls in their lap where they have issues coming up after this year. Steelers know that Ike Taylor is done after this year and besides Cortez Allen the Steelers don’t have a cornerback that can start every snap. The player that falls in their lap and picked up is no other than Justin Gilbert cornerback from Oklahoma State.

NFL DRAFT PICK- THE FRENCH ASSASSIN!

Pierre-Desir

Every year the National football league fans can’t wait for the NFL Draft. Well, I should say every NFL fan except the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Detroit Lions. Ok, now I got that out of the way I can move on to the real subject. As said before the NFL Draft to me is overrated and I think the combine is as well. Yet, the fans love the unknowing of who their team will draft. Sometimes a team will draft the best available while other teams will take what they need. The crowd in New York sometimes cheers and other times boos. The fans though never realize who is the bust or a star. Fans will only go by the college games/film and experts to make their opinions on the player. Time and time again though we see a first rounder fall short of their skills and a six rounder be elite. Heck even undrafted free agents have made an impact in the NFL.

So what should you go by when doing your mock drafts if you do not know more than the college level play? I think you should go off your heart and think as the general manager for your team. For me my team is the Pittsburgh Steelers. So when I am doing the mock draft I think of what the Steelers need most and what player can fill the role. I study their film and look at their character. However, I am no scout expert. So in the end, I go off my heart! I see something that I think is great and it gets my heart pounding, I am going to run with it. Last year was Shamarko Thomas from Syracuse. I even did the religious way and prayed for Thomas to be part of the Steelers. Well it turned out the way I wanted it to happen. I did a blog on Thomas after he was drafted called “Introducing Shamarko Thomas”. The blog traveled to 24 countries and it showed that the Steelers Nation was impressed of having Thomas on our team.

Well, now comes this year! The player that I feel in my heart will be a great fit for the Steelers, and my heart keeps beating fast when hearing his name is Pierre Desir. Desir has been looked at by the Panthers and the Saints. There has not been any mentioning that the Steelers have contacted Desir or looked at him. I think they honestly should.

Desir is a cornerback who played for Lindenwood college. Won awards like the Second-team All-MIAA in 2010, First-team All-MIAA in 2009, 2012, 2013. First-team AFCA Div. II All-American in 2012 and 2013. Including, the Cliff Harris Award in 2013. Desir finished his career ranked first in Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics history in passes defended. His 25 career interceptions are the second most in conference history and rank him in the top 10 in Division II history.

What are the negative thoughts I have heard on Desir from the experts and fans? I have heard Desir never played against big schools. That Desir speed is not that fast. Could the Steelers fans say that about Cortez Allen though in 2011? Honestly think about that one for a second. I love Allen more than most fans and if you follow me at Steel Nation Generation you will always see how much I care for Allen. Allen played college at The Citadel which is a NCAA Division 1 school. Now Allen is the starting cornerback for the Steelers and showing a great future. Just like Allen, Desir also ran track in high school. I am comparing Desir to Allen because I feel they both are almost the same in my book. At times though I feel I can compare Desir to Keenan Lewis. The long arms with the ability to knock the ball down out of the air. The end result though, it doesn’t matter who I compare Desir to because Allen and Lewis will make their marks in the NFL. Some experts have gone on radio and TV shows and said Desir is just like Richard Sherman. I can honestly see that as well because Desir sticks with the receivers and able to snatch the ball from the receiver. During one of the games an announcer was so excited that he said the “FRENCH ASSASSIN” when referring to Desir interception. Even though I hate to compare a player to another player, there is a point to be given here. The point is Desir will make an impact in the NFL. The reason he is not being noticed or mocked higher is because of the schools he played against, the school he went too, and not being known.

So that is fine with me though. Last year on this date, I came out saying by doing a blog that Cortez Allen and Jason Worilds would be household names. The blog was called “I Believe” (SEE BELOW) and I feel I am and was right about that. Cortez Allen came on at the end of last season and Jason Worilds became electro flying for the football. Which made the Steelers want to resign Worilds and release Woodley.

So I feel I am right about Desir and I need the Steelers Nation to join with me. I think if you are a Steelers fan you need to watch his videos. You need to feel the same excitement that I feel when watching him return the interception for a touchdown. As well, read the interview that was conducted with Desir by Rudy Reyes of ESPN. Learn more about Desir and with that, you should see the high hopes and potential that I feel in my bones, soul, and heart. If you do feel what I feel than I hope and pray you scream let’s draft THE FRENCH ASSASSIN.

God Bless,
Muia

BELIEVE IN ONE- BIO

As a sport athlete it doesn’t matter who got you into the sport that you play now. It does not matter where you grew up. Doesn’t matter what school you attended. The only thing that truly matter was you believing in yourself. Somebody can start you at the starting line, but nobody can get you to the finish line if you don’t believe within who you are. Sure family and friends will be there when you fall and pick you up. Yet, the drive and the hard work is dedication of your own heart. How bad do you want it? How much can you taste it? When you have completed and succeeded to where you are and needed to be, than you should take great pride by getting there.

With that being said, showing that you are the man or woman that you wanted to be, and being proud came the clothing product called BIO. The word BIO really breaks down to the words Believe In One. The owner and creator of this brand name Daniel Megeath, lives in Front Royal, VA. Some Washington Redskins players have become vocal about this new clothing brand and have been sponsoring it. The biggest supporter is Darrel Young who is the Washington Redskins starting fullback. Yet even RG3 is showing love to Megeath by wearing the bracelet BIO on his wrist. It does not stop there though with the Washington Redskins players. The Redskins personal trainer Carl McKinnon jumped on board of wearing the brand. It all started with the Washington Redskins and recently it has been moving to the other industries.

Singer and dancer Elgin Baylor Lumpkin known as Ginuwine posted a picture of himself with BIO t-shirt last night.
10177914_10203602263639947_3910975399468944412_n

Megeath told his story of how in life people said he was never good enough or he couldn’t make it. Yet, there was something beating in Megeath that nobody could take away from him. That one thing that was beating, was Megeath’s heart that kept speaking saying to him, believe in you. Believe in one!

Here is Megeath video that was recently done cage of dreams:

So, not only if you are a player but a fan you should visit Megeath’s site. We all have been there sometime in life where we were put down. I remember watching the madden game intro video of Ray Lewis. The video starts out that Lewis was too small and too slow. The thought crossed my mind that people really didn’t know what they were talking about when judging Lewis skills. The only person that Lewis believed in was himself.

This is your time to do the same and show it. Visit the link below and check out the designs. If you don’t see what you like, don’t worry. They can make you what you like. I hope that you can hit share with the other social media regarding this brand clothing wear. Sometimes a brand is just a brand somebody made up but never put passion and love into it. Other times there is a meaning to it and it builds people self-esteem. This is that brand! When you see it on the streets or social media, it says to you NEVER GIVE UP. BELIEVE IN ONE!!!!!

Pittsburgh Steelers Mock Draft

This is my third mock draft! I have the names of the player, with a video. I also comment on why I think the Pittsburgh Steelers should draft the player. Remember though nobody knows what players the Steelers will draft. The draft to me is very overrated. Sometimes a player gets drafted and out of the league in three years. While other times, they are a six round star that makes it to the Hall Of Fame.

Please comment on here or email me at steelnationgeneration@gmail.com

1 Round- 15 Pick:
CJ MOSLEY MLB
thMEB3DH6J

Why CJ Mosley over other picks like Darqueze Dennard, Mike Evans, or Kelvin Benjamin? The names of those players very well deserve to pick if on the board. I don’t see Mike Evans being on the board though. That leaves Dennard and Benjamin to choose from or Mosley. With the pickup of Lance Moore and Darrius Heyward-Bey I think the Steelers feel at ease of waiting until fifth round to pick their big tall wideout. You might say why not Dennard? There is a sleeper that Kevin Colbert has to be looking at. I even tweeted to Mike Tomlin and told him to pick this star up. Dennard is good but we have more of a problem at the middle linebacker than any other position in my book. Mosely has been quoted as a three down linebacker for the NFL. No matter how you feel or what you think Vince Williams and Arthur Moats is only a two down linebacker. Both are very talented at stopping the run. Yet, Terence Garvin is more capable of playing nickel and dime package. It was showed last year of putting Garvin over Kion Wilson and Vince Williams in the game for pass coverage. So knowing this we need a guy that can fill Larry Foote shoes. That is a quick, smart, and three down linebacker. This man name CJ Mosley is that player. If you say big deal Steelers don’t need Mosley, than ask yourself this, who can replace Lawrence Timmons right now on the roster if Timmons goes down due to injury? We will be in the same boat we was last year. Draft Mosley and move on to the second pick.

2 Round 46 Pick:
STEPHON TUITT DE
hi-res-151589859_display_image

In my eyes Steelers need to sign Brett Keisel to a one year deal. With the loss of Al Woods and Ziggy Hood it put the Steelers in a situation to find depth and leadership. Steelers were looking hard into signing Alex Carrington but Carrington signed with the Rams. Last year running backs from the opposing teams were able to rush on the outside. The facts were the defense of ends and outside linebackers were not able to seal the outside. This young man has every tool you need to not only stop the run but pressure the opposing quarterback.

3 Round 97 Pick:
Telvin Smith OLB
1023_Telvin-Smith_inside

Jarvis Jones needs more improvement. Arthur Moats could push Jones on the bench. I say that again! I think Moats can and will put so much pressure on Jones that it could bench him. However, like I said before what if Timmons goes down who would step in his place? The answer to the question right now be Moats. So, you need more depth at outside linebacker. You need to draft a player that can tackle and quick. As well, do you really have that much confidence in Chris Carter? Depth is the key to the third round!

4 Round 118 Pick:
PIERRE DESIR CB
th210LKOLJ

The biggest sleeper of the draft! Some would say this guy reminds them of Richard Sherman. Ok, I am thinking of a guy that can play more of the field than Sherman. I am also thinking of a guy that likes to bat the ball down as well can intercept the ball. Who did Steelers lose because of money? That is right Keenan Lewis! I think Steelers should consider this big sleeper and draft Desir. Not only can he play like Lewis in the backfield but he can return kicks. He is a track star like Cortez Allen. Much faster on the field than what a combine stat would show.

5 Round 157 Pick:
L’DAMIAN WASHINGTON WR
thCEQDHQ2P

Here is your big tall wide out. Has the body type like Plaxico Burress. A guy that can score touchdowns and a man that can catch the deep pass. Look lets be real with one another. You want a red zone threat; this guy can do just that. You want a guy that can take a safety and corner to open the underneaths of Antonio Brown and Heath Miller, this guy can do it.

5 Round 173 Pick:
Michael Sam OLB
michael_sam_3fc9107e1105058ed632934d84e7badf

There is the right side outside linebacker and there is your left side linebacker. Depth again was the biggest issue the Steelers had last year. Seattle Seahawks has a rotation of eight men coming in and out. Don’t you want to see the old Steelers blitz package again. Michael Sam can not only give you a pass rusher but he can bring you the lion within him. Sam wants to show everybody he can play. Out of everybody on the draft board, nobody is hungrier than Sam.

6 Round 193 Pick:
Colton Underwood DE
506ba0a630020_preview-620

We need a young Aaron Smith player. Everybody wants to bounce Steve McLendon outside but that is not going to happen. Some would say Cam Thomas can play outside. Sure he can and so can McLendon. The truth is, Keisel is gone from the team or will be gone after this year. We need a young stud that can stop the run like the old days. This young stud can do just that!

6 Round 215 Pick:
ALEX BAYER TE
th5GB2CAB7

Not worried how much longer Heath Millers has to play. I wonder how long Matt Speath, David Paulson, and Michael Palmer have. To me Paulson shouldn’t be on the team. Palmer is only depth and a special team player. Speath is a blocker and that is all. So bring in a guy that is a blocker. Bring in the same guy that Speath is right now and have hopes that he can succeed in the pass game better than Speath.

7 Round 231 Pick:
Ladarius Perkins RB
thDGPOZJ6R

A small back that is flashy. Steelers wanted Chris Rainey but that failed. Steelers wanted Laron Stephens-Howling but that failed. This is your speed guy that is great with 3rd down conversions. This running back not only can catch the ball but is very good with is vision on running plays. So if Blount gets hurt, well you can ride Perkins until he comes back.

This ends my third mock draft! Please leave comments…

I am not saying I am an expert by any means. I was right about Jason Worilds and I was wrong about how good Antonio Brown would be last year. What I will say though, what I am right about is that Pierre Desir will be the best coming out of this draft class. Three years from now we are all going to say “WHAT A PLAYER”.

God Bless,
Muia

Who does he remind you of?

Steelers Nation, watch this video below and you will think of another player that the Steelers drafted last year. A story of how a player lost both parents and had to help raises his younger brothers.

Arkansas State v Missouri

I have been doing mock drafts and if you have followed me, you would know that I have L’Damian Washington drafted in the 5th round for the Steelers. Washington a 6-4 206 pound receiver had 50 catches, 893 yards, and 10 touchdowns, last season for Missouri. Washington is a long strider outside receiver who can get to his full speed very quickly. Known for his deep threat touchdowns and body control. Yet while doing research on him I ran into this video. When you are done watching it, scroll all the way down and you will see who Washington reminds me of last year.

God Bless,
Muia

Answer: Shamarko Thomas
